As a part of the government initiatives, RBI has declared concessional schemes for real estate sector like Urban Land Act repealed by increasingly larger number of states and in case of integrated townships, the minimum area to be developed has been brought down to 25 acres from 100 acres and so on. Further, to bring transparency in the process, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Govt. of India has taken definitive steps to reduce the time taken to develop social economic zones (SEZs) by simplifying the procedures. Now, new developers can easily get their land categorized as SEZ at the outset itself.
